It's hard to fall back on old patterns of behaving when you're doing something different. Like driving a vintage tank backwards while blindfolded. Or crossing a crocodile-infested swamp with nothing more than a small spoon! (OK - so we made up the spoon).

We pay close attention to your goals and work with you to shape an event that suits your needs. We then help people to maximise their learning from every experience and plan how to apply it back at work the very next day.

Getting off to a great start: Building Your Team

£4200 + VAT for up to 20 people

Ideal for new or recently-formed teams - including project teams. Use this in the early stages of team formation to help those involved to get to know each other at a deeper level and to establish effective ways of working together that will stand them in good stead when the pressure hits.

Package 2
Moving forward together: DEVELOPING YOUR TEAM

£4200 + VAT for up to 20 people

Want to energise your team? Unlock the potential in your people? Help them to step up to some new challenges? When you’re looking for or facing change - developing your team can pay huge dividends. Our process encourages your people to be proactive in developing new ways of working to increase team effectiveness and improve performance.

Package 3
Taking charge & bringing people with you: LEADING YOUR TEAM

£4200 + VAT for up to 20 people

Aimed at new first line managers or team leaders. Ideal as part of a graduate programme to help them prepare for the next stage of their career. Can also be used as part of a development centre to spot potential team leaders for the future.

Why Fantastic Days?
Learning is all about helping people to shift their perspective. And that can be difficult sitting in a conference room all day. Fantastic Days offers a unique blend of experiential learning activities and an engaging and memorable experience to anchor it positively.

How is it different to other outdoor activities?
Some outdoor events focus on providing a series of physically-demanding activities. Our philosophy is to provide a relaxed and supportive environment where learning can take place. We also introduce a sense of challenge that calls on the different skills of every member of the team. It’s that balance of support and challenge that helps people to learn together during the day.

Is it suitable for everyone?
Adults of all ages and various levels of fitness have participated in our activities. We will work with you to ensure that the day meets the needs and abilities of your people. Importantly though, success for a team depends on them understanding and using their different abilities. Activity alone will not cut it!

What’s the difference between a corporate event and a development event?
Picking any package from our portfolio of corporate events will provide an energising and memorable day for your team. They help lay the foundations for your team by offering people a chance to get to know each other, or to re-connect, in a completely different environment and to have some fun together.

Our development events go one stage further. We will work with you to shape our development events to meet your specific goals. While you get all the benefits of the Fantastic Days experience – we’ll also be paying close attention to the learning – helping participants to maximise their own personal learning and the team learning. And planning how to apply it back at work the very next day!

Not surprisingly, when it came to seeking a learning partner to help us extend our corporate portfolio we needed someone of the highest standard. Sharon Varney, director of s p a c e for learning, is a leading authority on learning in complex organisations. Her strong track-record has been gained across a number of industry sectors – oil and gas, banking and finance, travel, manufacturing – where she has headed the learning functions of multi-national companies.

Each package includes:

• Half-day customisation to your goals and needs

• Full-day event – commencing with a ‘scene setting’ session followed by 2 activity sessions especially selected from our team-building activity range, lunch, a 3rd activity session and rounding off with ‘reflection’ session, energisers, prizes etc.

• All-day catering – including Danish pastries on arrival, 2 course lunch and afternoon tea and cakes

• All safety equipment

• Post-event package – electronic record of all the materials produced during the day

• Additional participants at £195 +VAT per person
